The Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) at PAWS of Coronado plays a vital, hands-on role in a small, collaborative animal rescue and shelter environment dedicated to Fear Free handling and compassionate care. Responsibilities include intake exams, administering vaccinations, assisting with medical treatments, coordinating and performing safe animal transport, and supporting the overall health and well-being of shelter animals. Working with a DVM available two days per week, the RVT must be a self-starter who can manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and operate independently when needed. This position offers $32 per hour with overtime as needed, a scrub allowance, and health benefits for the employee after 90 days, with reduced-cost coverage options available for partners and children.

Hours 7:30am -4:30 pm with unpaid one hour lunch

One weekend day is required
